A large Ethiopian Coptic cross in low grade silver. The hinged cross is pierced and engraved on both sides with a knot work pattern. The large bale makes it easy to hang this piece on anything you like. Circa 1920.

Coptic crosses are typically depicted with each arm divided into three points representing the Holy Trinity. The Coptic cross is widely used in the Coptic church and the Ethiopian and Eritrean churches.
