Two warring tribes were separated by the punishing Essen Pass. Two star-crossed lovers vowed to meet each other in the dividing wasteland in a hidden field of roses. As the two armies searched for their wayward members, they were drawn to the place by the beautiful floral scent - and in the ensuing battle cut it to pieces. No one can say for certain what happened to the two lovers, but some say a pair of Desert Roses can be spotted growing in the rocky canyons of Essen Pass.
